What it checks

How the Block Blast Solver chooses a move

The Solver evaluates every distinct ordering of the three pieces you enter. For each order it generates legal placements, applies completed row and column clears after every move, then ranks the resulting board states before continuing to the next piece.

Balanced mode weighs line clears and usable space together. Clear mode gives more weight to immediate line removal, while Survival mode favors open space and lower board pressure. The search prunes lower-ranked intermediate boards to stay fast, so the result is a strong recommendation rather than a promise of the globally optimal future score.

For the cleanest screenshot scan

  • Show the complete 8×8 board and all three current pieces.
  • Close pop-ups and wait for clear or combo animations to finish.
  • Review detected cells and pieces before running the search.
  • If recognition is uncertain, correct the board manually instead of solving bad input.

How it works

A solver for the board you actually have

The tool checks legal placements for all three selected pieces, including different play orders. After each placement it applies completed row and column clears before testing the next piece.

Balanced mode rewards line clears while also avoiding fragmented empty space. You can switch priorities when you want to chase clears or protect the board instead.

    Match the board

Import a screenshot or tap the occupied squares manually, then correct any cell that does not match.

  2. 2
    Match the pieces

Screenshot detection can prefill the three shapes. Check them once, or choose any missing shape manually.

  3. 3
    Follow the sequence

Place the highlighted pieces in the displayed order.

FAQ

Block Blast Solver questions

Does the solver check all three pieces?

Yes. It tests valid orders and placements for the current three pieces and applies row or column clears after each move.

Does the Solver guarantee the mathematically optimal move?

No. It checks every distinct piece order and a large ranked set of legal placements, but prunes weaker intermediate states so the search stays fast in a browser. It also cannot know the next tray. Treat the result as a strong current-board recommendation, not a guaranteed future maximum score.

Can I use the Block Blast Solver without a screenshot?

Yes. Tap the occupied cells on the editable 8×8 board, choose the three matching pieces, then run the Solver. Screenshot import is optional.

What happens if all three pieces cannot fit?

The result shows the longest valid sequence it can find and tells you when the current set cannot be fully placed.

Can the solver read a screenshot?

Yes. Choose or paste a screenshot and Auto Scan searches the full image for the 8×8 board, reads the occupied cells and tries to identify all three pieces underneath it. If the screenshot is unusual, you can still drag or resize the crop and run Read again.

Can it detect the three pieces automatically?

Yes. Auto Scan uses the detected board position to search the tray underneath it for Piece 1, Piece 2 and Piece 3, then fills the slots when the match is strong enough. The manual selectors always remain available for quick correction.

Is my screenshot uploaded anywhere?

No. The image is decoded and analyzed in your browser. The theme does not send it to WordPress, an API or an external service.
