What the board-health score measures
The score evaluates the structure visible now: empty space, connectivity, dead-end pockets and whether large fixed-orientation pieces still have legal homes. It does not predict the next tray.
A mostly empty board can still be dangerous when open cells are split into narrow corridors. A crowded board can remain playable when one large connected region survives.
